.074-Xuan Xin Restaurant, Gurney Plaza, Penang.

Two Fridays ago, I had dinner with my parents at Xuan Xin restaurant in Gurney Plaza. We were looking for dinner as we normally go out on Friday nights. I forgot who decided to come to this restaurant, but come to this restaurant we did.

Some chips as a mini-starter.

Dad's Yin Yong, my mum took the same drink.

My Iced Honey Lemon drink.

Claypot-something. I kinda forgot what it was. Sorry!

Fried Rice with Chicken and Salted Fish.

.073-My first Prosperity Burger this year.

Every year, for about 1 to 2 months before Chinese New Year until about a month or so after Chinese New Year, there will be a special burger at McDonalds. I'm not sure about Malaysia's neigbouring countries, but I know the whole of Malaysia has this. It's called Prosperity Burger and it's beef (chicken normally comes in at a later date) dipped in black pepper sauce, topped with onions (green pepper for the chicken version) and sandwiched between two buns. I love it! It's one of my favourite McDonalds burgers and I had my first one last Saturday.

.071-Nasi Kandar @ Mohd Raffe, Burmah Road, Penang.

The other day I had a craving for nasi kandar, a type of Mamak food. Basically, nasi kandar is usually white rice, sometimes tomato rice or briyani rice, and you can choose a wide selection of dishes and curries to go with it. It's nice and I like it.

The restaurant is near Tan Mark bookstore on Burmah Road.

I got white rice with some lamb, a 'telur apung' and some fried cabbage.

Teh tarik as a drink.
